"On Becoming A Doctor" Part 3

In " On Becoming a Doctor " by Tania Heller, she guides you on advice on what study of the medical field and how to become a doctor. This Non-fictional book has three different sections, starting with the Prologue; then moving onto the interviews. Lastly, Heller has another section for a review. In the Prologue, she conversates with other doctors.          In the last section of the book, Tania reviews the book and interviews. Heller recommends you to read this book before you look at the questions to know more in depth of what she is expressing. One of the questions says, "In order to be accepted into medical school, do you have to major in one of the sciences?", the question is then answered by saying " No, it is not necessary to major in the sciences, although many students do so."(pg. 193, question 1). In “On Becoming a Doctor”, by Tania Heller, MD, is a non-fictional book which talks about requirements for medical school and the book it has interviews with doctors. There are three different sections in the book. It has a Prologue, Interview section, and a Review section.                                          In the interview section, Tania discuses with Cardiologists, Neontologists, Radiologists, and etc. First, I want to conversate about what I want to be in the medical field. I have always wanted to be a doctor but didn’t know what specialty, and this book has helped me. Because of this book, I want to try to be a Neonatologist, I think it will be interesting. When you are a Neontologist, you specialize in taking care of newborn baby’s.  Specifically, with ill or premature babies, see I was a premature baby and was a month and one-half early. So, if I specialize in this I can understand more on what hardships this job can have, plus I can hold baby’s a lot so that’s wonderful

On Becoming a Doctor by Tania Heller, she informs you and guides you on advice on what study of field and how to become a doctor in the medical field. This Non-fictional book had three different sections, starting with the Prologue; then moving onto the interviews. Lastly, Heller has another section for a review. In the Prologue, she conversates with other doctors. In chapter 3 of the Prologue, Tania shares the requirements for medical school. She talks about how undergraduates can have courses to visualize how much experience you need to be internally in the medical field and externally out of it. Heller says, “You will need to complete at least 120 hours of course credits and/or obtain a bachelor’s degree prior to entering medical school” (pg. 17, paragraph 1). She also explains that even though some schools in the U.S. combine undergraduate and medical programs together most require a four-year completion in the undergraduate program.
